Benita Bellamy
Benita Bellamy is a Marketing and Public Relations executive with over 15 years of experience in the arts and entertainment. She is the founder and CEO of The Bellamy Group, LLC. The Bellamy Group located in Music City USA– Nashville, TN, was launched in 2008 with the objective to fill a void in the marketing and promotions sector that focused on independent music artists of all genres, faith-based organizations and companies, authors and entertainment personalities. In The Bellamy Group’s first five years of establishment, Benita has received numerous honors including a 2014 Stellar Gospel Music Award Nomination for CD Packaging of the Year – Bishop K.W. Brown Presents Earl Bynum and The Mount Unity Choir as Creative Director; 2013 Gospel Blue Mic Award Special Achievement Award, named a Top 10 Independent Marketing and Promotions company by The Gospel Industry Roundup, voted the 2011 Rhythm of Gospel Awards – Marketing and Radio Promotions of the Year, and named a GMWA/GAG Radio Promotions Person of the Year. The Bellamy Group has managed marketing and publicity campaigns for Dove Award nominees Mali Music and Mr. Del, Grammy and Stellar Award winning gospel legend Twinkie Clark, Legendary Queen of Disco Gloria Gaynor, and provided marketing support The American Heart Association, Verizon’s How Sweet The Sound Competition, and the God Belongs In My City National Prayer Walk.
Her career has included being a Marketing Manager at EMI Christian Music Group/EMI Gospel working with Stellar and Grammy Award winning artists Smokie Norful, CeCe Winans and The Blind Boys of Alabama, Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers, Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Potter’s House Choir, Aaron Neville, Darwin Hobbs, and many others. She was a Marketing and Publications Manager for Imagination Stage Performing Arts Center and Label Manager for Sanctuary Records Group – Reggae and Catalog division managing projects for legendary artists such as Steel Pulse, Luciano and Gregory Isaacs. She later became Vice President of National Promotions and Marketing for Light Records with an artist roster that included: Shirley Caesar, J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise, RiZen, Bishop Paul Morton, Zie’l and Coko.
