FAQs

WHAT TOPICS WILL BE COVERED AT IMMERSE?
IMMERSE includes tracks for Artistry, Songwriting, and Music Business, with topics for worship leaders throughout.

WHO SHOULD COME TO THIS EVENT?
If you’re an artist, songwriter, musician, worship leader – or you want to be someday – there’s going to be something for you to learn at IMMERSE. Even if you’re just interested in the music business in general, this is a great place to start.

DO I HAVE TO BE A GMA MEMBER TO ATTEND IMMERSE?
No – but keep in mind that GMA members do get discounted registration rates. Plus, your GMA membership is good for lots of other stuff including voting for the Dove Awards and being a connected part of the Christian music industry.

CAN I BRING MY SPOUSE/FAMILY MEMBER/BAND MEMBER TO IMMERSE?
Sure! The more the merrier. We’ve even made it cheaper, with discounted rates for additional family or group members. And we have a whole package just for bands. You can even bring the drummer!

CAN I BRING MY KIDS TO THE CONFERENCE OR CONCERTS?
The event really isn’t designed for anyone under 13. We won’t have any separate activities for the kiddos, and you’ll want to be focused on learning and networking. If you want your family to join you for the evening concerts, you’re welcome to purchase tickets for anyone over the age of 5.

HOW DO I MAKE HOUSING AND MEAL ARRANGEMENTS?
Housing and meals are not included with your IMMERSE registration, however both are available onsite at Belmont University. You’ll have the option to add housing and meal plans when you register. Additional information is available on the registration page.

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT FOR ENTERING COMPETITIONS?
Anyone participating in competitions at IMMERSE must be at least 13 years old. For complete competition rules, check out the Compete page.

ARE ANY IMMERSE EVENTS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?
Evening concerts are open to anyone over the age of 5, so bring your friends, family, and all your crazy fans. Anyone not registered for the event will need to purchase a ticket. $60 per person covers all four nights plus Sunday morning worship, or tickets for an individual concert are $15 per person.

WILL I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION OF MY IMMERSE REGISTRATION IN ADVANCE?
Yes. We’ll do our best to get you a complete confirmation letter within 10 working days following the processing of your registration. You can use this letter to sign up for competitions or purchase concert tickets later on.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY BADGE AND OTHER EVENT MATERIALS?
All your registration materials will be handed out onsite at IMMERSE. Please be prepared to show your confirmation letter or a photo ID to pick up your badge and materials.

CAN I REGISTER WHEN I GET THERE?
Yes, but keep in mind that rates will be higher. You’ll definitely be better off letting us know you’re coming ahead of time.

IF I’M UNABLE TO ATTEND IMMERSE, CAN I SEND SOMEONE IN MY PLACE?
Sure. We appreciate knowing about this in advance. Just send us an email or fax a letter by June 30 explaining your situation and the person you’d like to come instead. After that, any transfers must be made onsite – have the person taking your place bring your original registration confirmation letter along with a written request from you. All changes after June 30 are subject to a $25 service fee.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL COMPLETELY?
We seriously hope that doesn’t happen! However, registration payment is NON REFUNDABLE at any time. If you wish to cancel your registration on or before June 30, 2010, you will receive a credit on your account, less a $75 processing fee per cancelled REGISTRATION. The credit placed on your account can be redeemed for GMA Immerse 2011 ONLY. Cancellations must be finalized on or before the June 30th cancellation deadline. You may choose to transfer the registration to a substitute participant to avoid any cancellation fees. No credits or refunds will be issued to any registration cancelled 30 days or less before the event. The above rates cover only your event registration. Additional fees for housing and meals may apply. You will be notified via email with those costs. International Registrants: U.S. funds only please.
